We hope you all had a lovely Christmas break, we are looking forward to another exciting year at playgroup.

This half term we will be learning all about Robots and Machines.

The children will be making art bots using cups, pens and tape, the children will then use their creations for mark making. The children will learn how to follow instructions to make things work.

We will also be making robot helmets, which the children will design. Towards the end of the month we will be learning about Chinese New Year, the year of the ‘tiger’; we will be making tiger handprints and lanterns, researching about the event and taking part in a lantern precession with musical instruments. We will also be trying some Chinese food at snack time.
