Summer Term 2020

We hope that you have all been enjoying the sunny weather at home where possible. Tomorrow is the start of the summer term and we will be starting our topic ‘Transport’. We are hoping for the children to learn all about road safety, land, water and air transport; as well as transport linked to occupations, including the emergency services and construction vehicles. The children will also be keeping active, enjoying books and participating in letters and sounds games. Starting from tomorrow and then every Monday after for the next six weeks (or as long as necessary), we will be emailing a variety of learning activities to all our playgroup parents. These activities cover a wide spectrum of the Early Years Foundation Stage, over a range of age learning stages. These learning activities are not compulsory but are there to support you and your child during this time when they would normally be attending playgroup. Along with this, we will also be sending some support and guidance of children’s education in their early years, including a balance between adult and child led learning, strategies to support children’s learning and development, and some helpful links. We hope you have been enjoying story times with our staff members, each week we will continue to upload a new story time to Tapestry. Please remember we are always here to support you, please contact us via our playgroup email – [email protected] and we will get back to you.Have fun, take care and please continue to upload observations to Tapestry, the staff thoroughly enjoy seeing these…Kelly, Anna, Sam, Gemma, Roxy, Poppy and Harri
