What we are up to this half term!

This half term we are learning about emotions and celebrations.

To begin the half term, we will be celebrating World Book Day, where children are invited to bring in their favourite book during the week Monday 28th February – Friday 4th March, to share and dress up as a book character. We will also be making bookmarks.

We will spend time learning about St Piran’s Day, and making some Cornish flags.

The children will use clay to make to make their Mother’s Day ring dishes, they will manipulate the clay and use tools to make their handprints.

The children will use to the iPad to research about St Patrick’s day.

Towards the end of the half term the children will make Easter cards, the children will choose from a range of different designs and use a range of media to create their cards. They will use their name cards to practise writing their names and mark making. We will also be making Easter chocolate nests, the children will use their physical skills for mixing and scooping, and their mathematical skills for weighing ingredients.
